Tentu deskripsi gambar antara satu dan lain orang berbeda. Sehingga kalau kita cari misalnya gambar orang belanja di pasar maka akan banyak sekali hasil yang tampil. Ribet.

Mencari gambar ya dengan melihat visual gambar itu. Seperti kita mencari gambar kita di buku tahunan sekolah. Ya kita bisa menemukannya dengan melihat mana yang mirip wajah kita. Maka gambar bisa kita cari dari kemiripan visualnya. Sekarang, mesin-mesin pencari internet sudah sangat canggih dan bisa melakukannya.

Tapi, bagaimana cara melakukannya di internet?
Mencari sebuah gambar di internet kian mudah. Google sudah bisa melakukannya bahkan jauh sebelum kita menyadari fitur ini ada. Pencarian dengan menggunakan gambar telah membantu banyak orang. Contohnya orang yang ingin membeli barang, tidak tahu nama barang itu. Cari saja pakai fotonya.

Bagi saya yang seorang guru Bahasa Inggris, pencarian gambar sangat berguna. Ketika ingin mencari gambar yang ada dalam soal listening yang saya miliki dari buku, saya sering melakukannya. Namun, dengan syarat gambar-gambar itu pernah diunggah di internet.

Bagaimana mengenali gambar yang pernah dunggah di internet? Kalau gambar itu berisi objek orang luar atau terkenal, ya hampir dapat dipastikan itu gambar dari internet. Namun, kalau gambar itu adalah gambar khas jepretan kamera pribadi. Cara ini tidak akan berhasil.

Cara mencari foto dengan foto di internet:
Kita siapkan dulu foto yang akan kita cari. Seperti contoh yang kita miliki adalah gambar 7-1.jpg yang saya dapatkan dari scanning soal bahasa inggris. Saya akan mencarinya di internet.

Langkah selanjutnya adalah kita pastikan gambar itu memiliki kontras yang jelas, agar algoritma Google bisa mengenali gambar itu. Saya memanfaatkan program Adobe Photoshop.

Langkah selanjutnya adalah membuka google image dengan alamat http://images.google.com/ sehingga muncul halaman pencarian. Klik icon kamera (telusur gambar).

Muncul pilihan gambar yang ingin ditelusuri apakah dari URL atau dari komputer kita. Karena gambar saya ada di komputer, saya pilih Upload gambar.

Setelah terupload, maka kan muncul hasilnya. Pilih gambar yang paling sama atau mendekati gambar anda. Klik salah satu.

Nah, saya sudah menemukan yang saya cari. Simpan gambar itu dengan klik kanan dan save as image. Selamat.

Ingat, gambar juga memiliki hak cipta. Gunakan dengan bijak ya.

Cara pertama adalah dengan cara klik tombol titik tiga yang ada di pojok kanan atas.

 Setelah itu, akan muncul opsi. Klik caption.

Klik English (auto-generated) untuk mengaktifkan subtitle, namun nanti subtitle nya ya harap dimaklumi saja jika kurang pas. Tapi kalau suara native english ya lumayan lah.


Nah, subtitle sudah muncul. Selamat belajar.

Tampilan Baru! WhatsApp Dark Mode

Saat ini, fitur dark mode untuk Android menjadi tren. Banyak aplikasi dan media sosial yang menerapkan pembaruan tampilan yang bernuansa gelap. Ada beberapa kelebihan jika kita menggunakan dark mode, diantaranya:



·         Baterai lebih tahan lama
Yup betul! Saat menggunakan aplikasi dengan tampilan gelap, ponsel yang menggunakan layar OLED/AMOLED bisa menggunakan daya yang lebih sedikit. OLED merupakan singkatan dari Organic Light-Emitting Diode.

Di dalam dioda organik tersebut terdapat lapisan tipis yang dapat memancarkan cahayanya sendiri. Artinya, dengan warna hitam, bagian piksel tersebut dapat “dimatikan” sehingga penggunaan baterai dapat dihemat.

Ini berbeda dengan ponsel yang menggunakan panel LCD. Panel LCD memerlukan lampu-lampu untuk menyinari piksel-piksel tersebut, dan lampu-lampu itu berada di bagian belakang panel layar.

Meskipun di layar ditampilkan warna-warna yang lebih gelap, lampu di bagian belakang layar tetap menyala. Sehingga tidak ada pengaruh terhadap konsumsi baterai saat menggunakan mode gelap.

·         Tampilan lebih nyaman di mata
Saat malam hari, ada kalanya di lingkungan sekitar tidak cukup cahaya. Aplikasi dengan latar belakang putih akan memancarkan cahaya yang sangat banyak. Tentu itu akan mengganggu mata kamu.

Dengan mode gelap, tampilan teks atau visual yang berwarna terlihat lebih menonjol. Kamu juga bisa mengurangi intensitas sinar biru yang dihasilkan oleh layar, sehingga mata tidak cepat lelah.



Saat ini, fitur dark mode baru tersedia untuk pengguna yang bergabung dalam program WhatsApp Beta. Namun, saat dicek ke Play Store, program WhatsApp Beta telah penuh. sehingga kita tidak bisa mengunduh pembaruan ini dari Play Store. Ada cara lain lho untuk mencicipi pembaruan ini, yuk disimak!

·         Unduh WhatsApp Beta
Kamu dapat mengunduhnya melalui situs pihak ketiga, seperti APK Mirror. Setelah itu install aplikasinya ke ponsel kamu. Berdasarkan pengalaman admin, saat menginstall WhatsApp Beta ini, chat yang ada masih utuh.
Namun jika ingin lebih aman, kamu bisa mencadangkannya terlebih dahulu.

·         Aktifkan mode gelap
Caranya yaitu dengan pergi ke Pengaturan > Chats > Tema > Gelap.
Tema yang ada memang kurang begitu hitam dan cenderung keabu-abuan. Kamu bisa mengubah wallpaper chat menjadi lebih hitam melalui Pengaturan > Chats > Wallpaper > Solid Color.

Dalam aplikasi WhatsApp Beta, karena masih dalam pengembangan, mungkin saja ada hal yang kurang sempurna. Saran dari admin sih, cadangkan chat kamu secara berkala, untuk menghindari hal-hal yang tak terduga di kemudian hari. Selamat bersenang-senang!

Rule of Thirds
Ada beberapa aturan komposisi dalam mengambil foto. Aturan Rule of Thirds adalah yang paling populer dalam fotografi. Ada dua garis yang berjarak sama secara vertikal dan horizontal, yang membuat kisi 3 x 3.
Kamu perlu memastikan bahwa titik fokus atau subjek utama foto berada di salah satu bagian lintas. Pengaturan ini dapat diaktifkan dalam kamera atau ponselmu.


Leading Lines

Filling the Frame adalah cara untuk membuat subjek fotomu menjadi lebih diperhatikan. Subjek utama foto berada di sebagian besar bingkai foto, sehingga hanya menyisakan sedikit ruang untuk hal-hal lain. Ruang kosong tersebut seringkali dibuat blur, untuk mengabaikan fokus disekitar subjek utama.



Negative Space
Dalam sebuah foto, ada sebuah subjek yang merupakan ruang positif dan lingkungan disekitarnya yang merupakan ruang negatif. Kamu dapat memanfaatkan lingkungan disekitarnya untuk menarik perhatian subjek foto.
Kamu dapat menciptakan suasana tertentu di ruang negatif seperti aktivitas, kedamaian, alam dan lainnya. Kamu dapat mengaburkan orang, hewan atau bangunan-bangunan di sekitar subjek utama. Selain itu, kamu dapat menggunakan garis, warna atau elemen menarik lainnya.


Depth of Field
Depth of Field adalah jarak antara titik terdekat dan terjauh yang tetap fokus dalam foto. Dengan ini, bokeh (latar belakang buram) dapat dibuat.
Depth of Field ditentukan oleh aperture, jarak ke subjek, dan panjang fokus. Semakin lebar aperture, semakin dekat jarak, dan semakin tinggi focal length, semakin dangkal kedalaman bidang (semakin sedikit fokus) sehingga latar belakang dalam foto menjadi lebih buram.
Semakin kecil bukaan, jarak lebih jauh dari subjek, dan panjang fokus lebih rendah, semakin besar kedalaman bidang (lebih fokus). Kamu dapat mengatur fokus tak terhingga, yang menyebabkan latar belakang foto terlihat jelas dan tidak buram.

Viewpoint
Sudut pandang, atau perspektif, dapat mengubah foto biasa menjadi yang luar biasa. Temukan sudut yang berbeda, lebih dekat ke lantai, atau lebih tinggi dari tanah. Mempunyai foto yang tidak biasa dan berbeda dari yang lain akan membuat fotomu menjadi lebih diperhatikan, lho!

Framing
Membingkai subjek di dalam gambar dapat lebih menarik perhatian, sekaligus menawarkan perspektif yang lebih unik. Daripada kamu mengambil gambar dari jendela, kamu dapat memikirkan bahwa pemandangan itu akan terlihat menarik jika jendelanya masuk dalam foto. Selain jendela, kamu juga dapat menggunakan terowongan, cermin, gua dan sebagainya.

Pengertian ISO, Shutter Speed, dan Istilah-Istilah Lain dalam Fotografi

Fotografi (berasal dari kata Yunani yaitu "photos": cahaya dan "grafo": melukis/menulis) adalah proses melukis/menulis dengan menggunakan media cahaya. Sebagai istilah umum, fotografi berarti proses atau metode untuk menghasilkan gambar atau foto dari suatu objek dengan merekam pantulan cahaya yang mengenai objek tersebut pada media yang peka cahaya. Alat paling populer untuk menangkap cahaya ini adalah kamera. Tanpa cahaya, tidak ada foto yang bisa dibuat.

Segitiga Eksposure dalam Fotografi
Ada tiga hal utama yang harus kamu pahami jika ingin terjun ke dunia fotografi, yaitu ISO, kecepatan rana dan aperture. Ketiganya saling berhubungan dan saling mempengaruhi dan membentuk segitiga yang dinamakan segitiga eksposure. Yuk bahas satu-persatu!
Aperture
Aperture adalah bukaan lensa sehingga cahaya dapat masuk ke kamera. Aperture diukur dalam f-stops, yang merupakan rasio dari panjang fokus dibagi dengan ukuran pembukaan.
Semakin kecil f-stops, maka semakin lebar bukaan lensa. Bukaan f/1.4 lebih lebar dari f/2.8 atau f/4 misalnya.
Efek yang dihasilkan dari bukaan tertentu yaitu kedalaman bidang (depth of field). Bukaan lensa yang lebar seperti f/1.4 menyebabkan kedalaman bidang lebih kecil, sehingga latar belakang menjadi lebih buram (blur). Bukaan yang lebih sempit seperti f/5.6 akan membuat titik fokus lebih banyak, dan efek buram berkurang.

Shutter Speed (kecepatan rana)
Kamera punya shutter (rana), yang berfungsi untuk menghentikan cahaya dalam mencapai sensor. Saat melakukan pemotretan, rana akan terbuka dan membiarkan cahaya masuk ke sensor. Durasi waktu rana tetap terbuka disebut kecepatan rana.
Kecepatan rana biasanya diukur dalam hitungan detik atau sepersekian detik. Kecepatan rana yang lebih cepat seperti 1/100 akan membekukan pemandangan, dapat mengambil objek yang bergerak cepat dengan lebih jelas. Kecepatan rana yang lebih lambat, misalnya 30 detik akan mencerahkan gambar, tetapi dapat membuat gerakan yang kabur (motion blur). Kamu dapat memanfaatkan kecepatan rana yang lambat untuk memotret lalu lintas malam di perkotaan atau mengambil foto bintang-bintang.

ISO
ISO adalah sensitivitas sensor terhadap cahaya. ISO yang lebih rendah membuat sensor kurang sensitif terhadap cahaya. Ini biasa digunakan di tempat dengan kondisi yang berlimpah. ISO yang lebih tinggi membuat sensor lebih sensitif terhadap cahaya, sehingga kamu bisa memotret di lingkungan yang lebih gelap.
ISO diukur dalam angka. Biasanya menggunakan ISO 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 dan seterusnya (nilainya dua kali lipat). Misal digunakan ISO 400, ini setengah kali lebih sensitif cahaya dibandingkan ISO 800, dan dua kali lebih sensitif dibandingkan ISO 200.

Exposure Compensation
Exposure Compensation merupakan salah satu menu yang dihadirkan pada kamera sebagai media untuk menyesuaikan gelap terangnya foto ketika dibidik. Exposure Compensation sendiri akan lebih mengutamakan pengaturan pada titik gelap terang suatu foto.
Exposure Compensation biasanya diukur dengan f-stops seperti: -2.0, -1.0, -0.3, 0.0, +0.3, +0.7, +1.0, +2.0. Dalam hal ini, -1.0 artinya satu stop lebih sedikit, foto menjadi lebih gelap. Sedangkan +1.0 artinya satu stop lebih banyak, foto menjadi lebih terang.

White Balance (Keseimbangan Putih)
Keseimbangan putih mengacu pada efek suhu warna pada foto. Sumber cahaya yang berbeda memancarkan suhu warna yang bervariasi, berkisar dalam spektrum antara oranye dan biru.
Suhu warna diukur dalam kelvin (K), contohnya:
  • Candlelight: 1.000-2.000K
  • Tungsten bulb: 2.500-3.500K
  • Sunrise/sunset: 3.000-4.000K
  • Fluorescent light: 4.000-5.000K
  • Flash/direct sunlight: 5.000-6.500K
  • Cloudy sky: 6.500-8.000K
  • Heavy clouds: 9.000-10.000K
