D. The printer has the capacity to print 10 copies of slides per minute.

7. Woman : Do you know how to attach this lens to the camera?

A. First you have to remove the rear lens cap.
B. Let me show you how to take good photos.
C. The documentary was shot by a digital camera.

Part III. Short Conversations

The following dialog is for questions 8 and 9.Man : That was a really magnificent spread of fillet fish, roast beef, and also duck.
Woman: And did you see the dessert table? The caterer really went all out for this event.
Man : I couldn’t agree more.

The following dialog is for questions 10 and 11.
Woman: Oh no! I have checked the GPS and there are two heavy traffic jams ahead.
Man : Shall we take a taxi or drive ourselves?
Woman: Let’s leave our cars here and take the train into the city. It’s the rush hour now. We could be late for leadership training.

Part IV. Short Monologues
Questions: 12 to 15.

Questions 12 and 13 refer to the following short story.
Man:
Long ago, an blind old man lived on Timbun Mata Island. He often sat in the sun outside his house looking after paddy which his son had placed there to dry. Whenever chickens came to eat the paddy, he used a long stick to bang on the ground to chase them away.
One day, his grandson played a trick on him. He caught a couple of crabs and placed them on the paddy. They made a noise just like chickens eating the paddy.   “What’s that?” “Don’t you know? Some chickens are eating the paddy.”
The blind man banged his stick. But the crabs were not frightened. They continued to eat the paddy. The boy laughed mockingly. Suddenly, there was a terrible roar. An old man with a long white beard appeared in a cloud of smoke. “You should never laugh at your grandfather,” he said, “especially as he is blind.”
Before the boy could answer, a strong wind started to blow, and the sky became black. A cloud of red smoke shot out of the top of a hill in the center of the island. Tons of rock and boiling mud were thrown high into the air. All the houses on the island were destroyed and everyone living on the island was turned into stone. Even today, if you visit the island, all you can see are some strange-looking rocks resembling people.

Questions 14 and 15 refer to the following announcement.
Woman:The port of Tanjung Emas was shut down today after a chemical fire broke out around 2 p.m. A chlorine tank broke open and exploded, causing a chain reaction which caused the north section of the harbor to burst into flames. Firefighters had the blaze under control by around 6 p.m. Six persons were taken by ambulance to Surabaya General Hospital, where they are receiving treatment for injuries.
